On cask at The Grill Next Door in Haverill, MA. The proprietor traveled to Boulder Brewing Co and collaborated on this cask conditioned, double dry-hopped version of Mojo Risin DIPA. Served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a cloudy, muddled, yellow-brown color with a thin, foamy ring on the surface. Aromas are muddled, with a solid grapefruit profile atop a caramel backbone. No real hops presence on the nose. The flavors are muddled and a bit weak. There is a solid, smooth toffee backbone with some solid grapefruit highlights that blend well. The dry-hopping comes off limp, with no real power or presence to it. Literally, the beer comes off as a citrus malt bomb. The aftertaste is a tangy, tangerine tinged toffee sweet. Slightly cloying finish that hangs on too long. I can appreciate what they tried, but I am not a fan.
