Damn good pale lager. It has a bit of substance to it. Ranger pours a darker shade of yellow, but a bit lighter than gold. Nice, two finger head that did not disipate. Wisps of lace stick to the mug like artwork. Smelled very hoppy. Your nose warns you this beer will have bite. But that hoppy smell is followed by a grain sweetness. A mellow malt background. First sip is killer. Those hops attack like a maniac. Second sip is better, now that you know what to expect. Big hop flavour, with a mellow malt finish. Crisp, medium/light body mouthfeel. Which is great for this style of beer. I wish more pale lagers were like this.
