Tasted by half pint at the newly-opened pub, Pembury Tavern, in North London. The pub, as sister pub of The Oakdale in north-east London sharing the same owner(s), has the full range of Milton Brewery's products on cask regularly, and this beer is their standard bitter.
A: tawny-copper-ish, coming with a foamy and fluffy head, with great clarity and low carbonation.
S: slightly sharp earthy-herbal hops dominate the nose, sitting on top of a lightly nutty malty overtone.
T: intakes of plenty of sour-sweet maltiness, accompanied by a smooth flow of earthy hops. Balanced flavour-profile but one'd ask for more of something to make it a bit nicer...
M&D: slightly thin-bodied and lack of a heavier and rounder body than its sister brew (I believe), "Sparta", which is a premium bitter, fuller in aroma and flavour than this one. Overall, Pegasus is not bad for a hoppy bitter, but can be boring after a pint as starters.
