Tasted by half-pint at the Pembury Tavern, Hackney, London, on 12/03/06.
A: tawny hue, a nice thin but foamy beer head against a low carbonated body.
S: toffee-ish, creamy maltiness, plus aromatic and flowery fragrance with a tinge of lemon/+orange buttery cake; an intense flow of sweet cherry fruits and a touch of aromatic, Belgian pale ale-like candy sugar emerges at the back. How pleasant~~
T: a dense flavour of Fuggles-hop underlines a soft bed of pale malts, with a mild stream of green apples and chewy bitter nuttiness following closely at each step... overall the palate is smoother than the aroma suggests; leaving a semi-sweet, floral finish with a tangy kickback~~
M&D: light-bodied and quite flavoursome--a quality malty and aromatic bitter.
