Golden color, very clean, with few bubbles. Average white foam.
Fresh smell, with some perceptible hop.
More maltiness in the taste, but still not too boring. Malt, light honey, background hop.
Quite balanced and drinkable, just a bit of too much cereal in the aftertaste.

The appearance is blonde but slightly hazy. Only the faintest hint of visible carbonation. There's a slight hint of hops on the nose, but the overwhelming scent is a yeast one.
The taste backs this up, I'm not sure quite how to describe it but the words 'buttery' and 'lactic' might come close. Definitely tastes like the yeast is still alive and kicking. It has quite smooth and a pretty low level of carbonation
Certainly interesting, I imagine it won't appeal to a lot of people who are expecting either a lager or a blonde ale and find something rather different. The only vaguely similar things I've had have all been on tap, the kind of 'live' beer you sometimes get at traditional Latvian food places. Probably not a solo drinking beer but if you like the style it's not bad with pork heavy Latvian cuisine.
