Served on-tap at Flatlander's.

A: Pours a dark amber with some brown hues. Very small light brown head. No real lace left on the glass.

S: Nice malts with a subtle toffee and light fruit hoppiness.

T: Sweet fruits, toffee, caramel and a nice true malt.

M: Medium bodied, nicely carbonated with a subtle sugary sweetness left on the palate.

O: This was the best offering by Flatlander's and it was pretty true to style. A nice red.

(Served in an American pint glass)

A- This beer has a warm brown body that is pretty clear with a thin off-white head that last for a few sips. There was a good carbonation of big bubbles.

S- The smell of toasted dry malt with a slight caramel malt note is fresh and pleasant.

T- The toasted malt flavor has just a hint of darker roasted malt in the background with a toffee flavor in the finish. All the malt flavors are fresh and dry with a faint tangy note in the finish. The tangy note turns into a more spicy hop hint has the beer warms a bit.

M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with a light fizz finish.

D- This beer has nice malt flavors with a faint hint of hops to accent the malts. The malt flavors come through more as it warms which is very nice.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.

Who are these people, anyway? This individual pours a clear garnet-ish amber topped by a finger of white micro-foam. The nose comprises caramel, flowers, and light greens. The taste is more of the same, with the caramel dominating the flowers slightly, and some mandarin oranges and light walnut notes being added after the fact. The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a thickly watery feel. Overall, an okay red, but nothing to mention in a note to the folks.
