Served in a pint glass at Flatlanders 2/22/07. Described by the server as a "7 malt Scottish Ale".
A: Dark, murky, dirty brown. Small cap of foam with virtually no lace.
S: Hard to get any aroma out of it at first due to the extra cold serving temperature. As it warmed I was able to detect aromas of roasted malt.
T: Flavors of roasted malt, and dark chocolate mix it up with tart cherry, bitter hops, and a faint peat smoked malt flavor.
M: Very sharp and bright mouthfeel brought on, again, by the cold temperature. It mellowed out and became thicker as it warmed up.
D: Decent drinkability. I'd have rated it higher if it weren't served so damn cold!
