Appears a dark brown with a chestnut hue when held to the light. A small, tan head slowly fades into a gentle cap. Scattered bits of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of toffee, caramel, cracked grain, roastiness, and...rauch malt? Yes, I detect a smoked wood aroma. Interesting.
Taste is of the aromas with more of a smokey flavor flowing on top of the roasted malts and toffee flavors.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, chewy, roasty, and a tad bitter of hops in the finish.
