A-very hard to see with lighting. Transparent orange
S-cant really pick anything up with the frozen glass and all. Thanks.
T-mess of a blend of hops. I can tell they tried really hard to make it hoppy but I can only pick up a little bit of fruit...
M-mediun body and smooth
O-defintion of average. Nothing great. Nothing too terrible

Served in a pint glass

Of the 3 beers I had that night this is the only one I'm reviewing because it's the only one that doesn't seem to be tart either from infection or tap lines.

This beer was served a dark golden color with amber twinges, the white foam faded rather quickly leaving nothing in its stead. The smell was rather mild and tame. There was a floral nature up front on the nose, but oddly florals that I've never really associated with hops. There was a caramel sweetness on the nose that mixed in almost equally to the floral aroma. The taste was pretty good. There was a good balance of malt and hops, and I was the one who got it on tap, not cask. The caramel sweetness was evident up front, but the hops strong bitterness finished off the palate. And it almost went from syrupy to dry as it dragged across the tongue. It was very odd. Overall it was the best thing I tried, due to low quality maintenance of beers/lines.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.

Lotta hoopla around this brew, what with the release/naming party and all. I'm not sure what they ended up going with, but I tardily voted for "Pucker Face". It pours a mostly clear sunset garnet-amber topped by a half-finger of cream foam. The nose comprises toffee, dank ruby red grapefruit, wet dark greens, light oak, very light orange peel, and a light mixture of red and white grapes. The taste hods notes of pine, toffee (complete with a bit of toasted-ness), orange rind, ruby red grapefruit, and a dash of black pepper. The body is a straight medium, with a light carbonation and a rather smooth feel. Overall, a nicely balanced DIPA, though some spice seems favored at times. Really pleasant on cask.
