The best of the Rosie's beers on my visit.
A: Deep raw sienna colored beer has minimal carbonation. Small off-white head leaves some lace behind.
S: Chocolate, burnt oak and toffee flavors make up the beer's nose.
T: Toffee and caramel sweetness from malts, plus a mild floral bitterness. Floral flavors are replaced by burnt wood in the beer's finish.
M: Medium light body feels slick. Carbonation level feels about right.
D: Nice session brew. The most flavorful of the offerings on my visit. When I visit again, this is what I'll order.

Tasted at Rosie's Brewpub, Leadville, CO.
Pours root beer-dark with a small foamy head that recedes wihout lacing. Aroma hints of roasted malt.
Mildly bitter with soft roasted notes, a hint of coffee in the finish. Not quite creamy enough to nail the style, but a decent effort.
