500 ml bottle, at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Clear pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of fruity (citrussy / grapefruity mainly) hops, probably Cascade and some more. Also some piney, grassy and herbal notes. Very refreshing and medium dry flavour, with the same hop character as the aroma. Good bitterness. A fine summer beer.

From Uvinum. In Teku glass. Playing Mutant Mudds Deluxe. Very refreshing and with a nice tasty bitterness.

A: Clear. Distinctly yellow and quite pale. Plenty of carbonation. Finger of snow white suds. Some lacing. Could be mistaken for a Stella.
S: Distinct grapefruit nose. Could not be mistaken for a Stella!
T: Hops to the fore. Tropical fruit. Some metallic aftertaste.
F: Mouthfeel is light. Decent level of bitterness follows. A little drying. But the overall feel is disappointingly watery.
O: Wanted to like this more than I have. Thornbridge & Sierra Nevada are both very good breweries, but I don't see what this collaboration has contributed.

I've been going for yeasty or malty beers a lot more recently and drinking less hop forward things, I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy this one but I have to say I was very impressed and really enjoyed this beer. It's so clean and refreshing. Perfect on a hot day. A great beer from 2 great breweries.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of April 2015. Purchased a little while back from Trembling Madness in York. Described on the label as an Anglo-American pale ale with a fruity hop character.
A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. A bright golden hue with faint haze and light carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before reducing to a patchy surface layer. Slight lacing.
S: Aroma of fruity hops with hints of tropical fruit, mild pineapple, citrus, grass/hay, subtle earthy yeast and grainy malt. Rather nice.
T: Tastes of fruity aromatic hops with a dry, bitter finish. Notes of tropical fruit, pineapple, mild grapefruit, citrus, white grape, grass/hay, earthy yeast, light grainy malt and faint stewed hops. Well-attenuated, followed by a crisp, restrained bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and good body. Lightly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of fruity aromatic hops, earthy yeast and mild bitterness.
O: Very nice - a lovely APA. Looks great, while the aroma and flavour are wonderfully fruity; underpinned by subtle yeast and malt qualities. A well-judged bitterness. Good body. Goes down a treat - light and hoppy. Worth sampling if you come across it.
