500 ml bottle, at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.2%. Deep brown colour, slightly hazy. Moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of lightly roasty and biscuity malts, brown bread and peanuts. The flavour is malty, but not sweet, again lightly roasty, biscuity and bready notes - and plenty of peanuts. Very moderate hops. Despite the peanut craze: Charlie Brown still tastes like a fairly nice beer with peanuts added, not as peanut butter with beer added. I might even have another one.

Pours a warming, cloudy brown colour. Smells like sweet malts and a nutty. Tastes like a crisp brown ale. Light-bodied, light malts, nutty flavours, but not peanut butter. Not really any peanut butter taste.

A: Very clear, rich, dark, amber. Looks oily. Single stream of tiny bubbles . Thick head disappeared immediately. No lacing.
S: Subtle, nutty, sweet. Peanut brittle more than peanut butter.
T: The peanut is evident but not obvious. It is nicely subtle. The sweetness of the malt is permitted its place too. Some iced coffee in the aftertaste.
M: Thin. Some alcohol is evident.
O: I enjoyed this. Not a beer I would want to drink too often, and probably not a pub beer, but good for an occasional, indulgent evening at home.
