Labelled as TART BAKEWELL SOUR and at 6%ABV.
Light straw. Wispy head.
Floral hedgerow aroma. Lemon and composting fruit. Unusual.
Tart indeed. Scrumpy apple cider.
Highly refreshing on the first warm day of 2017.

Thornbridge has become one of my favorite UK breweries. This one is a pretty straightforward sour with not much to it save for a little apple flavor. Very clean

Cloudy straw. Minimal white head. No lacing.
Apple skin, funk, and peroxide in the nose.
Tons of granny smith apple upfront in the taste. Fades into a decent funk which in turn fades into a wheaty malt in the back end.
Crisp. Dry at the end. Medium body, medium-high carbonation.
Crisp and refreshing, but not mind blowing. Cool to see an apple-forward sour.
