A fantastic combination of milk chocolate and coconut in a decadent porter. It is roasty, rich and inviting.

330ml bottle. Dark brown with ruby edging. Thin, mocha head quickly collapses to a ring. Smells pleasingly of toasted coconut and chocolate milk. Tastes strongly of sweet, desiccated coconut but is oddly bitter with an artificial aftertaste. Mouthfeel is smooth but thin. Finish is bone dry. This is a liquid Bounty bar, all milk chocolate and sweet coconut. Does what is says on the label, I guess, but I’m not sure about the thin body and odd aftertaste. There are better, more natural tasting, coconut porters out there.

It wasn't until I was readying to taste this bottle that I registered it's style is not chocolate porter but coconut chocolate porter. That's a bit of an unexpected swerve ball, we'll see!
L- Extremely dark, almost black. Rather reluctant to form a head, so I poured the last 1/4 bottle from some height and get a 3mm dark tan foam, now receding.
S- Quite deep but fresh toasty cocoa, it doesn't come with a rich pungency but then it's 5.5% rather than a facilitating 'heavy'.
T- Coffee scent as I take a mouthful. Coffee is quite prominent, together with some dark cocoa notes. I do notice coconut but it mostly comes through as a creamy richness. [My wife reeeally doesn't favour coconut and she declines trying it, despite a choco-porter being right up her street]. As I work down the glass I'm beginning to notice the perfumed coconut notes more.
F- The flavour is quite pungent, and the 5.5% just about underpins it. This one is part-chilled.
O- Maybe it would go with dessert? It's certainly a very unusual flavour combo. But if you're not much into coconut then I would buy something else. Interesting to try but not one I'll buy again.

Bottle. Dark amber. Thick and frothy tan head.
Rich aroma of milk chocolate (Bounty Bar) and coconut. Toasted brown bread present.
Taste reflects the smell. A light charred bitterness is there.
Smooth. Low carbonation but hasn't quite got the body it deserves.
Very nice pudding beer.
