Copenhagen 28/9 2020. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Golden yellow can with Thornbridge's and SALTs logos and the name of the beer.

Pours hazy, golden yellow with a medium-sized, dense white head. Settles as thin, fine layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of exotic fruit anf a light touch of malty caramel. Strong citric odor peeking in. Peach and mango Grape fruit and lemon.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, a bit greasy, almost flat texture.

Flavor medium intense and pretty mild. Medium sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with citric undercurrent. Finish has a light sour streak.

Sweet caramel meets zesty Citrus.

Thornbridge/Salt Collab Tupelo | Hazy Pale Ale | 5.5% (2021)

"Brewing Tupelo gave us the opportunity to team up with our friends at Salt Beer Factory to create an exciting hazy pale ale using 6 hop varieties, including the fantastic Sabro. Expect an abundance of tropical goodness, with pineapple and coconut present throughout this easy-drinking juice bomb."

L4.25 Lovely hazy straw yellow, almost matching the can. Foamy one finger head (down from two after pour). Holding well.
S4.25 Good citrus nose
T4 Classic APA, bitterness dominates over any other hop character but not unpleasant. Getting a bit of pineapple but none of the promised coconut.
F4.5 Spot on
O4.25 A lovely drinkable pale ale at a solid ABV, nice refreshing easy drinking well balanced beverage.

330ml can from Morrisons (£1.95):
Hazy golden with a thumb-sized, foamy white head that fades to a soapy surface lacing soon after. The nose opens with fruity hops & pine, some orange zest & citrus show with subtle tropical notes at the end of a fairly standard nose. Pine & tropical hops come through with the taste, its bitter & sharp with a citrus tang then some coconut to finish with. Carbonation is strong & lively but it was a fairly average IPA, despite being labelled as a pale ale.

440ml can. Collaboration with Salt Beer Factory.
L: Hazy, yellow/orange colour with two fingers of fluffy white head and plentiful lacing.
S: Spicy aroma that reminded me of a paper bag filled with a quarter of lemon sherbets. Long-lasting.
T: Pineapple, lemon zest, coconut flesh & yeast. Fresh and zippy. Bitterness is light.
F: Medium/light body, very smooth, with a lightly dry finish.
O: Beautiful, unpretentious, perfectly balanced, hazy pale ale. Not a hop bomb, not a juice bomb, but full of tropical flavours nonetheless. Really hit the spot.
