Astryd is light, fresh and fruity. This juicy pale ale is overflowing with tropical fruit flavours and aromas from start to finish, with a delicate hop bitterness for balance. Drink as fresh as possible.

Hops- crystal, simcoe, mosaic.

A straw-gold colour with a slight haze. Only once the entire contents have been poured into the glass does a milky-yellow hue appear. The head is white, tall and persistent, made up of fine bubbles. It clings heavily to the glass.
The aroma is intensely hoppy and juicy and fruity (pineapple). It is very pleasant and invites you to take a sip.
The flavour is slightly sweet and tart with a nice, medium-high bitterness. Ultimately, only the bitterness remains on the finish.
Medium carbonation. Medium-light body. Smooth, soft texture. Medium-long bitter aftertaste.

Copenhagen 9/5 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Purple an in Thornbridge's usual design with ornaments in gold.

Pours opaque, hazy, pale yellow with a mid-sized, dense white head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a light fruity odor of tropical fruit mingling with citric fresh notes. Peach and orange. Grapefruit and lime.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is light and bitter and lingers shortly. Finish is semi-dry.

Fine light weight, fruity APA. Perfect for a spring day.

Cask. Thin looking pale straw. Slight haze. Dense head.
Fruity aroma. Melon and lychee.
Earthy hop flavour. Lemon sherbet. Light astringent finish.
Somewhat flat even for cask. Soft and thin.
Disappointed but I guess would be good cold at a BBQ.

Thornbridge Astryd | Juicy Pale | 3.8% (2021)

Brewer: "Astryd is a juicy pale ale that is unfined, making it naturally hazy and vegan friendly. The hop profile of Crystal, Mosaic and Simcoe give this beer a finish of tropical fruits such as guava and mango."

L3.5 Hazy straw, poor head - bubbly very low retention leaving a frog leaf.
S3.75 Not much going on, some bitter orange.
T4 Fresh, zesty. Not a huge amount of flavour but for 3.8% very good.
F4.5 Spot on
O4 Very sessionable pale. Not remarkable, but a good solid beer.

440ml can.
L: Cloudy, yellow colour with one finger of creamy head and arcs of lacing.
S: Zesty, yellow grapefruit aroma.
T: Juicy grapefruit and lemon with a chalky finish.
F: Light body, moderately bitter, light carbonation, soft mouthfeel.
O: A hazy, sessionable, easy-going American-style pale ale that looks and smells fantastic but is let down a little by a somewhat lacklustre body. Still very acceptable for 3.8%! Would like to try on cask.
