Thanks to ibrew2or3 for this rare treat.
A: Pours a nice shade of amber with a nice off white head. Pretty nice retention with some spotty lace.
S: Aromas of sweet summer fruits, toffee, oak and vanilla.
T: Fruity sweetness, with a nice candy sweetness. The barrel is a compliment here. Light vanilla with oak and a bit of booze.
M: On the fuller side of medium, rich, smooth, sweet.
D: Pretty good. A nice tasty rare barleywine. Thanks Dave.

Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours deep copper with gold edges and off white head. The aroma starts with apricot fruity barrel like notes then some pears, plums and prunes. The taste is much the same with an initial pulse of fruity sweet apricot notes mixing with oak and a modest level of booze. It isn't as rich, syrupy or velvety as I thought it might be. It is smooth and the barrel oak notes well up to the surface with more urgency into the finish. Very nice stuff that ahs plenty of room for further aging.
