Copenhagen 15/5 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Red and black can in Thornbridge's usual design with fine white ornaments. The logo of Newbarns hidden well away at the bottom of the label.

Pours slightly unclear yellow with a big fluffy white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a malty, sweet odor mingling with a bit of citrus fruit. Sweet pale malts, bread, grass. Citrus and lime peeking in.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a light bitter undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.

Solid Kellerbier from the UK. I suppose they have cellars as well.

440 ml can, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 5.2%. Moderately hazy golden colour, large white head. Aroma of floral and herbal hops, hints of berries and melon. Flavour of herbal hops on a decent malty base, but not very sweet. Fairly distinct bitterness in the finish.

#1797 - Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country...
L- Pours pale gold with a hint of haze and a 1Cm white foam cap. ps holds well.
S- Mild, I just get some bready malts. ps Later, about 1/2 way through I suddenly get a citrus edge from it.
T- Pretty hoppy for a lager but that's what you expect from a kellerbier. The hops are quite bright and clear to note but also of a more trad variety, although now and again I do get some very subtle hints of citrus.
F- It has a decent amount of malt, a good thing as it helps balance the ^vibrant hops.
O- The hops are rather dominant and bright for me. Perhaps a candidate for enjoying in the garden/park when the weather heats up - one day perhaps eh?
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! ==> Unfiltered/hazy, robust bitterness, floral/spicy hops, strawberry and melon notes. Named after a breed of cattle...
