This IPA has been brewed to commemorate Joe Root’s 100th test match for England, in which he scored a double century on the way to a famous victory in India. All profits from the sale of this beer will be donated to The Children’s Hospital Charity, of which Joe Root is the patron. Expect ripe hedgerow fruit on the nose and a full bodied, honeyed malt character on the palate.

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Deep vibrant amber/orange, pours clear with a 1Cm pale tan head.
S- Oh boy, it's a tropical juice bomb. Some citrus and perhaps passion-fruit's floral note.
T- Thankfully it's not as OTT/tropical as the smell suggested to me. I still get those notes, and it certainly has a dry hoppy lick into the finish. It also has a major perfumed floral aspect about it.
F- I think the body/feel are robust enough to effectively balance out much of the 'flowers, dry-hops and fruit'. Carbonation in the mouth is good (and remains so in the glass).
O- It's a contemporary style beer, which makes it harder for me to pin down blind-tasted. It's pretty big and robust for sure, yet in parallel it has vibrant contemporary fruity/citrus hopping. I can certainly finish it though tropical fruit notes in beer aren't my thing (try drinking mango beer and you'll see why). Will likely work better for the hipster crowd...
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the lables to see what I missed! ==> 'Expect ripe hedgerow fruit... honeyed malt on the palate...'
330ml bottle BB: 15/03/2022 £2.20 Bought from TremblingMadness, York/UK as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

330ml bottle. Beautiful orange/amber colour with a single stream of bubbles and three fingers of off-white head that leaves several arcs of lacing. Honey and citrus nose. Smooth caramel flavour with hints of orange pith. Full bodied and smooth mouthfeel with solid bitterness. A tasty, malty, slightly citrusy, golden IPA. Always impressed when Thornbridge do a modern version of an English trad beer.
