Nice cask serving, easy drink, a bit unassuming, with a very pleasing balance.
Presentation: 16 oz cask offering. Short description noting main characteristic of the style and brew, menu also notes Alc. by Vol (4.3%) Served in a pint shaker glass.
A - Medium to deep amber pour, 1/4" frothy head, medium retention, fair surface memory and a bit of lacing.
S - Nose is nice if a bit subdued with a nice light malty sweetness and a touch of citrus.
T - Taste follows with a biscuit malt sweetness, and a nice hoppy balanced final touch.
M - Medium/light body, tiny soft carbonation that works pretty with a good smooth broken by a nice biting touch.
D - All in all this works pretty well. It's a rather pleasing cask serving.
Notes: Glad to see that some English casks make an effort to cross the Atlantic. I look forward to the chance to try other brews from their line up.
