Guinevere is an effervescent witbier infused with a plethora of gin botanicals, such as crushed juniper berries, lime leaves, orange peel and rose petals.
This makes for a decidedly English take on the traditional Belgian style; a true summer beer which is as thirst quenching as it is refreshing.
HOPS: Hallertauer Magnum
MALTS: Low Colour Maris Otter / Wheat

400ml can.
L: Rich yellow with a very light haze and clouds of microbubbles. One finger of white foam head collapses slowly.
S&T: Aroma and taste are both dominated by rose. The other botanicals are overwhelmed. Semi-sweet.
F: Light (almost thin?) and dry with foaming carbonation.
O: Not getting much wheat in this witbier. Just rose. Way too much rose and not enough wit. Too sweet and cloying over time. Didn’t finish.
Like ‘Raindrops On Roses’ (which I rated 3.95) but hugely overdone.
