Look is a fairly hazy dark yellow with a one finger head. Smell is quite fruity. Taste is fairy earthy with some hop bitterness and a hint of caramel. Finish is fairly clean with a touch of earth and bitterness. Quite a nice and unusual lager.

L: Clear, dark gold with clouds of microbubbles streaming to a thick and copious head.
S: Nothing.
T: Thyme and green tea.
F: Medium body. Very drying finish.
O: Looks fantastic and Budvar’s decoction method delivers a slightly chewy and nicely dry mouthfeel but aroma and taste are both lacking. Brewing a Czech lager from Goldings hops just doesn’t work for me. Too earthy and lacks refreshment.
