Who better to brew an absolute stunner of a West Coast IPA with than Stone Brewing? Hailing from California, Stone have been creating amazing beers for nearly three decades and we are excited to create this beauty together.

It’s a classic West Coaster with all U.S. hops; powerful pine and grapefruit aromas pour forth from the glass, then the assertive hop bite leaps on to the palate along with flavours of tangerine and lemon. The robust malt keeps it in balance, leading to a long, bitter finish.

Malts: Low Colour Maris Otter, Wheat Malt, Caramalt.
Hops: Centennial, Cryo Citra, Cryo Idaho 7, HBC 586, HBC 1019.

Can. Gold. Extra thick frothy head.
Smells of a mix of citrus and tropical hops. Mainly grapefruit.
Tastes similar.
Low carbonation. Middling body.
I enjoyed the alcohol.

440 into a can glass in Toulouse, FR.
Nice pour. Fruit fragrance jumps right out. All the American hops show up. Can’t miss that Citra! Fruit bowl.
Taste is what I’ve come to expect from the classic West Coast style. Piney and just bitter enough. Well done.
Mouth rides a little bit thin, medium carbonation.
Overall, happy to get this one fresh. Enjoyed it a lot.,.

Hard to find a quality westy in the UK these days, but this does the job. Slightly thin body prevents it from being an absolutely phenomenal bev

440ml can. 7% ABV.
L: Clear, golden colour with a one finger head that recedes quickly to a cap and spotty lacing.
S: Citrus and tropical fruit pith.
T: Melon, stone fruit and plentiful pine. Light bitterness that builds ever so slowly.
F: Medium body, sticky mouthfeel, light carbonation, dry finish.
O: Well crafted AIPA. Nice change from never-ending hazies. Improves as it warms from initial 4C fridge temperature to the recommended 5C-8C.

West Side Glory by Thornbridge Brewery
Bevis Maun is drinking a West Side Glory by Thornbridge Brewery at The Font

Half presumably keykeg poured to reveal a clear golden body with superb thick white head. Aroma is pineapple sorbet and lime tickle. Flavour is pimms then lemon sherbet then building up to a magnificent bitter finish.
This really does an amazing job of combining the flavours of a WCIPA and a tangy historic West India Company Pale Ale

Hoppy flavour prevails. Very flavourful and drinkable despite time on this beverage in the tap. On tap at Birentenu. One of the better taps on tonight.
