Bundobust makes some of the best Indian street food in the UK. It’s a firm favourite of the whole Thornbridge team, and we were really excited to brew together.
We built the recipe around two of our favourite hops, Galaxy and Simcoe, to create a delightfully hazy beer with aromas of peach and passionfruit. On the palate, expect notes of mango, pineapple, and just enough bitterness to complement the full spectrum of great dishes Bundobust offers.

Canned in a big old tallboy crafty craft can and purchased from Morrisons supermarket in Chorlton on the way back from the beer and cider festival there
Pours a Slighty hazy oatmeal hued golden body with spotty white head
Aroma is grapefruit and pineapple
Flavour is juicy fruit then an upsetting grain alcohol taste

440ml can.
L: Light haze, bright yellow with one finger of long-lasting head.
S: Vague citrus and tropical fruit.
T: Yellow grapefruit is the dominant flavour. Becomes increasingly bitter.
F: Light body, smooth mouthfeel, powder dry finish.
O: Another low-powered pale ale from Thornbridge. Refreshing but bland. Tastes and feels lower than the 5.4% ABV.
I’ve been living overseas so have been away from Thornbridge for a couple of years. This first box from them since I returned home has been a surprising disappointment so far. What has happened? Where has the punchy flavour gone? Why so insipid?
