500 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. BB date 27.06.12. ABV is 5%. A fresh batch will soon be available on tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger - will rerate then. Reddish amber colour, large off-white head. Moderate aroma, but nice enough (no stale notes) - fruity hops come forward. The flavour appears remarkably fresh and fruity, decent Amarillo and Tettnanger hops throughout. Mild caramel in the background, but not too sweet. Yes, I can imagine that "this is a beer best drunk as fresh as possible” - but it holds its own very well even more than a year past BB date.

From a 500ml bottle.
Pours a clear, dark red/brown colour with a thick, off-white head that sticks around and leaves lots of lacing. Light carbonation is visible.
Malt nose with mild, earthy tones.
Malt sweetness on the tongue. Hazelnuts and light honey. Plus a rich, velvet mouthfeel and light carbonation. Medium level of bitterness.
Beautiful and complex. Love this beer.

Pours dark copper, decent head and lacing.
Smells of green hops, toasted bread, nuts and fruit.
The Amarillo hops are so obvious. Lots of herbal notes from the start, with pine, green grass, green tobacco, also the expected fruitiness. There's peach, orange rind, crisp lemon and grapefruit later on. Faint tartness. Big floral notes also. Toasted malts with caramel notes, providing a nice backbone to all the hoppy goodness. Bitterness is nice and mildly dry, leaving a clean fresh aftertaste.
Carbonation is low to medium, lightly prickling. Silky, smooth, chewy. Just great.
Not entirely respecting the style (the hops tend to take center stage), but a very beautiful beer.

Bottled and sadly not bottle conditioned
A mahogany beer with a medium size head. Aroma is of some spices and wood. Taste is moderately bitter and medium sweet. Light bodied with some carbonation, smooth and with a dry aftertaste. Rich character of roasted malts. Very nice for a lager.

Dark copper color. It Made a nice thick head that dissipated quickly.
As usual for Thornbridge’s, it has a delicious aroma, this one floral and citric with hints of sweet toasted malts.
Malty flavor balanced with floral, piney and slightly citrusy hoppy sensation. Hints of caramel and toasted malts. Wonderful refreshing and tingling feeling at any serving temperature.
Dry aftertaste with a mild sweet bitterness.
Medium body with low carbonation.
Interesting that still preserving the characteristics of a Vienna Lager it has its own personality with a forward looking proposal. Those guys never let me down. It is a pity this is not very accessible to me.
