Bottle conditioned. A gold colour with rising effervescence producing a thin bubbly head.
A slightly sour and earthy orchard fruit aroma with spicy notes.
It tastes of shortbread, pepper, zest and toffee along with hedgerow fruits. Initially sweet then bittering hops do their work to provide a balanced brew. There's also some marmalade reminiscent of Fullers yeast.
The conditioning gives it a vibrant carbonation with a medium bodied feel. A dry finish.
Yet again the Burton Union System rescued by Thornbridge has provided the platform for another wonderful offering. Very moreish.
The sour notes and fruit esters give it a profile somewhere between an Old Ale and a Strong Ale.

500ml brown glass bottle.
L: Nearly clear (after a careful pour), dark gold with several streams of microbubbles and a long-lasting white cap that leaves arcs of lacing.
S: Clean and lightly spicy.
T: Biscuit, pine, butterscotch and citrus zest. Bitterness starts light but builds.
F: Medium body, buttery mouthfeel, moderate carbonation, nicely dry.
O: Another delightful beer off Thornbridge’s burton union system. Tremendous flavour and mouthfeel. Dangerously drinkable for 7%.
