Thornbridge x Mikkeller
Three of Diamonds is a punchy and flavoursome IPA with a generous Infusion of passionfruit, this works beautifully in complementing the redolent aroma of guava and candied fruit already present.
HOPS : Mosaic / Nelson Sauvin
MALTS : Low Colour Maris Otter/ Caramalt / Flaked Wheat / Wheat Malt

Copenhagen 10/7 2022. 44 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. Sold under their "Save the Beer" campaign so slightly over the "Best Before Date". Pink version of Thornbridge's usual design with some of Mikkeler's small discussing heads as background.
Pours unclear - almost opaque - golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is rather intense with a sweet, fruity, fermented odor of tropical fruit mingling with a yeasty chemical scent and citric notes. Peach, mango and petroleum. Glue and mold. Grapefruit and lemon.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry with a searing touch.
Decent Indian Pale Ale with a quite intense flavoring .
