Handpump halfpint at the Volunteer.

A: Black with scarlet highlights and a thin, persistent tan cap. Weak retention and lacing, though.

S: Very rich aroma of milk chocolate, nougat, vanilla, and coffee. Nice mix of roasty and creamy notes. Lovely.

T: A little smoother, but weaker than the aroma. Nothing but chocolate and nougat up front. Nice, bitterly roasty finish. Very tasty.

M: A little light and watery for a stout, with very low carbonation. Not great.

O: This one didn't quite have the body to support its terrific aroma and solid flavors, but was an enjoyable drink nevertheless. Another solid offering from Thornbridge.

Cheers!
