A dark amber ale with a sudsy white head, with a minimal but present bead.
The smell is mild to watery at best , howeve warming closer to room temperature allowed some malt quality to develop,
The flavours were mediocre and bland , with a bitter finish being the most distinctive trait.
There is just no character about this beer .
It is drinkable but is boring

500ml bottle bought from Grape Expectations, Ballyclare...
Poured a coppery orange colour... Slightly off white head poured quite thick and foamy then faded to light layer... No real lacing...
Aroma - Light toffee malts, nice biscuity notes, fruity (oranges, apples, light figs), buttery, light nuttiness, some light fruity hops...
Taste Nice spicy hop bitterness, light biscuity malts, grassy, some grapefruit notes, light saltiness, very faint toffee sweetness... All a touch underwhelming...
Feel - Quite smooth initially but with a little sharpness underneath. Light bodied. Pretty drinkable - would make a pretty good session beer...
Overall - An OK beer... nothing ground breaking but very drinkable... worth a try...

Appearance: light brown, good clarity, thinnish cap of off-white foam
Aroma: a bit skunky, vomit, touch of malt (I guess)
Flavor: semi-sweet malty backbone, vegetal hop flavor, a bit grassy, finishes dry with a lingering aftertaste of bitter roots
Mouthfeel: medium-light body, fine carbonation, soft texture
Other comments: This is one of those examples of how a beer can go skunky even though it's in a brown bottle. Either that or it's supposed to be this way. Perhaps how cragrats smell?

Had it on cask and it was till pretty boring, thin and grainy, with some some light citrus hops, minimal bitterness. i mean, its drinkable and all, but its not very interesting. A very below average English cask bitter, a bit too light bodied and the palates a bit too thin.
