Half pint on cask at 'spoons in Paisley. The beer is on the dark side of amber with a typical 'spoons head. It smells of marmite and old smelly socks with just a hint of redeeming scotch. Interesting....
After a cheesy (edam) start it becomes surprisingly smooth with soem caramel before a good woody, spicy dry finish.

Drawn from the cask.
A tight and long lasting head. Deep golden colour. Looks good.
Not much aroma. Disappointed given the look.
Initial sickly sweetness followed by hard hit of hops. Not balanced at all.
Rather watery but just the right cellar temperature.
Unimpressed.
