Can't figure out the taste... getting a slight metallic after taste though. Not bad at all, smooth, easy drinking, if not a bit watery. Average to good and I reckon an all round beer suited for most occasions, perhaps best as a quick thirst quencher. I'd drink it again if someone put it in front of me, but nothing really jumps out as being memorable. (except that metallic taste....what is that?)

Golden, clear, medium sized thick head which hung around for a while, left some lacing.
S: Cork, rubber.
T: Fruity, nice mix of bitterness and sharpness.
M: Medium body, not much carbonation, coarse edge from the bitterness.
O: Tasted stronger than the comparitivly low abv, decent sessionable golden ale.

A relatively flat ale, with light cereal taste.

Bottle. Clear gold. Thick dense head.
Light aroma of English hops with a distant malty background.
Mild taste of grass like hops which then provides a gentle bitter finish.
Rather thin.
A 4%ABV version of their standard Cumberland brew.

L- Very dark amber, verging on pale brown, clear, pours with 1cm white head.
S- Light, fresh, mildly woody
T- Soft and gentle, some body comes later, and hoppy bitterness at the end.
F/O- I've had a few golden ales recently and I'm enjoying them. Like this one they seem quite traditional, even though this 'golden ale' thing seems new to me. On the one side with many new beers I've had recently they've been simply massively over-hopped, in fact they seem to take pride in the amount of (over)hopping. Then on the other these golden ales which are subtle, understated, balanced, refreshing. Kidz can stick to their 330ml cartoon covered cans featuring technicolour aliens blowing each other up whilst they grimace though the challenge of their latest over-priced over-hopped beer, but I'm more inclined to choose something understated like this one. Lovely beer, eminently sessionable, would happily buy it again.

This is again an English Bitter but a bit milder/rounder than the rest, not that harsh in dry bitterness. Empty and watery though, feels kind of diluted and then bitter in the end. It's a pity, as it looks quite nice though...

.5 bottle sold in a variety six pack from Asda. Pale golden, head thin and gone in a minute. Mild taste with hint of butter at first. Thin. Roundly okay.

Clear amber with a thin white head. Sweet caramel aroma, slightly metallic, caramel taste with a fairly bitter aftertaste. It's not to bad but won't try again.
