500 ml bottle, bought at Newcastle Intl Airport. ABV is 4.2%. Deep golden colour, large white head. Nice aroma of floral and herbal hops. Soft mouthfeel. The medium dry and refreshing flavour has some malts with hints of toffee and nuts, also some herbal hops, but the bitterness is quite moderate.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of Oct 2011. Described as organic, with an ABV of 4.2%. The label features a quote from Wordsworth and mentions that it is brewed in his honour.
Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A clear golden colour with medium carbonation. Forms a small, frothy head of white foam that disappears after a minute or so. Aroma of light malt with hints of grain, caramel, esters and mild stewed hops.
Tastes of light malt with a mild, dry bitterness. A faint hint of sweetness, with notes of caramel/toffee and stewed hops. No aromatic hops to be discerned. Mouthfeel is smooth and pleasantly tingly, with an astringent finish. Mild aftertaste of bitter stewed hops.
A decent but forgettable ale. Drinkable, but nothing about this one stands out. Pass in favour of something more interesting.

Purchased at the Waitrose supermarket, BB 15/01/09, served cool in a straight imperial pint glass.
A: pours a dark orangey golden hue, a thick layer of off-white froth sustains very well, on top of semi-lively carbonation that goes smoother in time.
S: syrupy and sweet tangerine-like citric-fruitiness abounds, while pale malts take the form of malt-syrupy as well as burned sugar-cane-like smell... some date-jam, saltiness, a little grassy note of hops also at presence in the background, while a swirl would bring out the more pronounced aroma of Goldings hops (or something similar)... Overall, all elements intertwine rather smoothly, but the sweet-sugary edge seems to lead the chorus rather loudly.
T: mildly honey-ish pale malts lead towards floral and zesty bitter&hoppy main theme, occasionally showing a syrupy edge of toasted sugar-cane and a touch of boiled-yum-like root-veggie-sweetness, but never too much... the texture is rather chewy in the end, where the bitterness of citrus hops quietly intensifies and the citric tartness also lingers.
M&D: slightly too fizzy for the balance, this golden bitter shows a light-body and a decent level of hop-bitterness and hop-fruitiness on the palate, but the sweetness on the nose seems to be slightly too much. The cask version is better.

Brown 500ml bottle, long life left, so was fresh when tasted.
Poured into a Duvel glass, well why not?
Good amber, dark golden colour, clear and clean looking. Not as bright or light as the name might suggest. Large bubbley head that lasted a fair while. It looked good in the Duvel glass, I may well use it more often with British beers if it shows them off as good as this.
Sour lemon and lime aroma, some hops as well, but not a huge aroma overall.
The taste follows the smell very closely, citrus notes. Fairly dry and refreshing, a good mix of interesting flavours.
At 4.3% this is a well balanced, easy drinking bitter. A bit watery maybe, but a fine session beer non-the-less, which I would like to try on cask if ever I come across it.

Flavor: dryish malt base with a hint of caramelly crystal malt, rooty hop flavor and a slightly vegetal bitterness, finishes dry with a malty/hop-bitter aftertaste
Mouthfeel: medium body, fine carbonation, smooth texture
Other comments: An OK bitter. Not very exciting, pretty safe. Though to be fair, I'm going through a period of being bored with British beer at the moment. I MISS BELGIUM!!!

Pours, surprise surpise, golden with a foamy white head and lovely foam on the glass. Quite a gorgeous looking beer actually. Fairly clean nose with a little fruitiness but not much of anything really. Some hop bite at fore followed by a mellow fruitiness with hints of apricot and pear leading to a slightly hoppy finish. Very smooth and heavy mouthfeel. A rather drinkable bitter, quite tasty.
