CAMRA minibus outing: Eccleshall in Staffordshire being the target: two pub beer fests and other good places too.
First pub is the exclellent George Inn, recently returning to the Slaters brewery family: they has a fest on and this was my first half of the session.
Light amber body with an off-white head, the beer was gravity poured straight from the barrel. Semi sweet nose and taste, the malts held the main flavour, with caramel and toffee being the top tastes I found. Pleasant, but nothing special.
