Hemp Ale is one of the better beers from Laughing H2O. Pours a chestnut brown color with red highlights through out the beer. Good foam and head retention. Which lead to good lacing as well.
There really is no aroma to the beer. Some hints of malt, maybe a bit yeasty, but really no smell.
The taste is noticeable compared to the smell. A good malt taste with a sweeter taste of malt. A touch of Vienna and basic malt is good. Also there is a herbal taste that is earthy and a touch of spice at the top. The beer finishes with a light hop taste with some citrus glow.
The body is light and the texture has a slight yeasty feel to it. Their isnt much of a chalky taste that some of the Laughing H2O beers have (thats good). Ive talked to the brewer and he thinks this is one of his best beers that he sells.
