33 cL bottle, purchased at Marche Victor Hugo, Toulouse, France. Bottled on 10/9/2023, enjoyed on February 1, 2024. Poured into a Kronenbourg 1664 short glass.
Beautiful presentation, natty one-finger head tops unfiltered yellow gold brew.
Aroma is supurb; delicate fragrance of violet floats above buiscuity wheat.
Taste stays in that pocket. Wonderfully fresh, everything is delicate and balanced. There is a hop bitterness that stays on the side of the tongue. The addition of a touch of brown sugar to the bier lingers on the lip, thus layering the flavors on the long finish.
Mouth is full, perfectly complementary carbonation.
Overall, a fabulous, high quality, novelty witbier that is a tribute to the city of Toulouse. Very nicely done!
