The Oktoberfest was clear orange with a light cream head that lasted pretty well. The nose was of hops. The beer was actually one of the more bitter Oktoberfests I'd had before. So, just a tad over the IBU you'd expect in this style. The hops however were very traditional in style so, earthy and spicy. Overall a good brew, but maybe it could do with slightly more nutty malty flavor? Quite drinkable.

Tasted on-tap 04/17/07 at Vino's Pizza Pub and Brewery in Little Rock, AR.

Hazy dark copper in color with a low beige film for a head. Malty Munich malt araomas and flavors but something is a bit off... Medium bodied with a malty finish ... not real clean; a bit harsh.

Not awful but misses the mark of a nice clean Oktoberfest.... Pass.

Pours to a thin white head and dark amber/light brown color. Aroma is malty with some noble hops coming through. Flavor is too hoppy and dry for a true o-fest, but that is the only negative. Nice Munich malt character coming through. finishes dry and malty. A good beer that misses the flavor mark.

The beer arrived on the table clear deep amber with a low white head which lasted well to lace the glass.

The aroma was very slightly sour with a nutty Munich/Vienna malt aroma and a slight hop aroma.

The flavor was slightly sour with nutty Munich maltiness and a fairly crisp flavor. The flavor was not clean but quite fruity with a substantial hop impression. The balance was toward hop bittering, not maltiness.

The finish was dry wtih lasting hop bittering long into the aftertaste. The body was medium and well done.

The only issue was the sourness was a little disturbing, but the hop level was definitely interesting.
