A classic Munich style Heffe-Weissbier, with a light slightly fruity flavor and an underlying sweetness.

This beer has improved over the years. Mr. Jackson "the beer hunter" thought it was good. The last pint that I had about six months ago was delicious. Definitely a good stab at the style. Give it a try.

A - Served in a pint glass, this was a bright, cloudy yellow with a dense white head that dissipated rapidly.

S - I had been expecting an American wheat, and was surprised by the banana and clove aroma.

T - Very smooth with a subtle wheat huskiness. The banana and clove flavor is less evident than in a German hefe, but perfect on a 96 degree day.

M - A little under-carbonated, but somehow that made the beer feel silky.

D - This would be my standard beer if I was a regular.

Lighter than most Hefe Weizens I've tried, I shared a pitcher of this one. Very little head to speak of, and carbonation was also lacking. However, this was a very tasty example of the style, with good mouthfeel. Notes of lemon, cloves, and coriander. Hops hardly made an appearance. Recommended.
