Pours with an amber body, fairly light head, tan in hue, decent retention
Smell, malty nose, slight hint of dried fruits, slightly skunky
Taste, slight hop bitterness on the palette, pretty heavy malty body, still a slightly off taste
Pretty average all round

Pours light caramel with golden highlights. Light ariy deep white, almost gray with heavy spotty lace.
Aroma of dark caramel, dark fruits and spiced yeast.
Flavor of deep fruity malt, dry resiny and oily hops and a spicy, furity yeast. Very pleasnt !
Mouthfeel is sweet and fruity with a dry bitter finish.
Drinkability is very pleasant, one of the better offerings from this brewery.

I realized that I had overlooked reviewing this from my recent London trip. I had saved my tasting notes so here goes. This cask ale poured a medium amber, head retention and lacing were quite good. Malty aroma was subtle but inviting. Taste profile was fruity, with good malt base and a long finish. Smooth and very drinkable at 3.7%. Was served in a U.S. shaped pint glass with Badger logo. I've noticed this trend and I really prefer the bulgy traditional glasses. Good beer.

A light, all around session style brew. Light color and light biscuity, malty aroma. Hints of juicy hop blend with the malt character to produce a decent, balanced ale. The light mouthfeel lends itself well to its drinkability. A rather typical English bitter.

Cask ale poured into a pint glass at the Wheatsheaf in Ellens Green, Ewhurst, Surrey.
Pours a dark brown, clear with a very slightly reddish hue. Minimal head present (less than one finger), which is typical for a cask bitter.
Smells and tastes like a good English bitter should do--bitter with an underlying sweetness.
Mouthfeel is nice, only moderately carbonated though and thinner on the tongue than some bitters.
Drinkability is average. This is a solid drink, but not outstanding.

Nice dark amber, nice and clear.
Has a somewhat plain but distinctive nose of dry hay/earthy bitterness. The nose is quite light, and somewhat odd I thought, sort of prickly.
Taste is initially sweet, has the typical British back taste, is nice an rich but hardly thick or meaty in terms of mouthfeel. Pretty malty taste, but overall, a bit thin. Fruity flavors also evident.
The dry hay bitterness makes itself know in the finish which really comes out rather dry in the end. I had this out of a can, maybe the odd nose was a result of that, who knows. A pretty nice English bitter overall.
