Flavours are prominent, hoppy and fruity. This golden ale is near perfection. The most refreshing beer I've had in ages.

Appearance - This one was a pale amber colour when poured from the bottle even though the makers describe it as auburn. There was a generous head of white foam that had average retention leaving plenty of lace and a lot of busy CO2 activity. So pretty enough beer.
Smell - Mild sweet malt and some fairly heavy citrus hop with a tiny leaning towards a pine aroma.
Taste - Mild sweet malt with some light fruity citrus flavour. More resinous pine flavour than the aroma profile would suggest.
Mouthfeel - Pretty full in the mouth but a little oily with only mild linger.
Overall - By and large this beer is a pretty good brew. Definitely above average but certainly not amazing either. It has reasonable flavour and it looks good but somehow it just does not excite in the way I hoped it would.

Imperial pint on cask at the Blue Ship, The Haven, RH14.
A: lovely auburn/copper in colour with complete transparency. It's a sort of golden brown with orange hints. No head, just a few bubbles on the top, just the way a cask ale should be!
S: lovely and fruity with floral scents too
T: this is formally becoming by favourite Badger ale, and probably my favourite bitter as well! Fruity undertones that don't overpower, great balance of hops and malts, this beer does not disappoint.
M: incredibly smooth, no carbonation whatsoever, just amazingly drinkable.
O: this is a dangerously drinkable beer, makes you want to quaff it quickly, not sip it. Delicious!
