Pours a finger of head on a dark brown body.
The aroma is coffee and roasted malt.
The taste is coffee bitterness with some mild chocolate sweetness.
The texture is softer.

Poured a nice black, with faint tints of brown and a half-finger tan head. Pretty standard for a stout. Scents of roast malt, earthy yeast, cocoa, milk chocolate and faint coffee. A good, fairly typical American Stout aroma, nothing too far out of the ordinary. Flavors of roast malt, cocoa, some slight sour notes, black coffee and chocolate with a roasty finish and aftertaste. Again, nothing too out of the ordinary for the style, though that slight sour note is nice and adds to the character. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate-high, slightly prickly carbonation. Its still easy to drink, but maybe a bit high in carbonation for a stout, not bad though, doesn't ruin the experience. Overall this is a fairly standard stout. The usual flavors are there, the usual aromas are there, but there is a slight earthiness and sourness that contribute a bit more character than usual which is nice.

A: The beer is close to being black in color—traces of brown are visible near the edges of the glass when it is held up to the light. It poured with a short off white head that faded away and left a dense collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of nutty malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste mostly follows the smell and has flavors of nutty malts with bits of sweetness and hints of roasted malts towards the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: To me, this beer tastes like a souped up version of an English Brown Ale than an American Stout or an Oatmeal Stout as there are tons of nutty malt aromas and flavors without any hop presence.
