Body is clear straw gold, pours easily producing an ample head with moderate retention that leaves some lacing.

Smells lemony and light malted wheat, with a bit of toffee. Bright and clean smelling.

This is a mildly sourish lemony tasting wheat beer. Has a good malt backbone, adding just a little sweetness to balance the sour. Finishes bitter with a grapefruit skin note and there is a certain Orval yeast/bitterness to this, especially as it warms up.

Body is light and carbonation is moderate, providing a nice refreshing mouthfeel.

I used a cup of this to make some steamed mussels with celery, red onion, and garlic. Was a very good complement to the briny mussels. A drinkable, fruity and slightly bitter wheat beer.

Some pleasant grainy flavors here. Slight haze to the yellow gold brew. Nice lacing down the tulip glass. Fairly malty with a touch of sweetness and a faint sour flavor. No trace of the German esters, so its pedigree is clean. Nose is a little murky with a faint whiff of grainy malt. Interesting bitterness and maybe a trace of some adventurous bacteria. Rather tart like plum skins. Medium bodied.

I'd have to say this has more flavor than most of of what I've tasted in the American wheat category. It flirts with the Belgian wild flavors. Bottle says "Batch 53."

Tasted from 750mL bottle at Lush Roscoe. Pours a brass color with a thin white head that quickly recedes. Nose of candy sugar, yeast, wheat, and some light cereal. Flavor is slightly tart with good lemon acidity and some wheat. The body is fairly full with lively carbonation and a rather abrupt finish.

I bought this and opened it up right after I got home, so I think carrying it into the house agitated it because the first pour foamed right up out of the glass.

A- Hazy gold color, pretty typical of a wheat beer. Very active carbonation. After the foam subsided I was left with a small slightly off-white head. I noticed a tiny bit of sediment present after pouring the last of the bottle into my glass also typical of an unfiltered bottle-conditioned beer.

S- Very faint smell that was slightly sweet with a sour finish. Maybe a bit of yeast as well, but not much smell all around.

T- The first sip was dominated by wheat, but I didn't get much of it after that. As I kept drinking I tasted a bit of lemon now and then, but mostly just a pleasant sourness slightly reminiscent of grain. Very weak flavor.

M- Very light, with a nice feel of carbonation on the tongue. Very smooth and not heavy at all.

D- Lacking in strong flavor, but nice and easy to drink. I can see drinking this on a hot day while grilling, but it doesn't really reach out and grab me. Definitely lacking in wheat flavor which is what I was looking for when I picked this up.

A very clear light golden color with a large foamy white head fed by the most active and plentiful bubbles I can ever remember seeing in a beer.

The aroma is of lemon, coriander and a hint of wheat. A bit of grassiness as well.

Taste is as the aroma, with the lemon giving it a tartness but still somewhat on the mild side. I wish the taste was more assertive.

Mouthfeel was thin and slippery, yet crisp.

Overall this is a decent wheat ale, but I'll probably pass on it in the future as there are much better examples available out there.

Booming head, must be the bottle conditioning. Rich golden color with more clarity than you'd expect from a wheat beer. Citrusy nose. Easy drinking and not overly complex. The wheat flavor is delicate. Refreshing, but tart is not the word I would use to describe it. A thoroughly enjoyable beer, perfect for a warm summer afternoon, with or without a lemon.

The bottled on date is May 1, 2009

After having it on tap at the brewery and then having it bottle conditioned(a bottle i brought home from Telegraph) I can say its like night and day. This brew on tap is much better.
Poured a nice light golden color with no head. Nose is yeast, fruit and wheat of course. Taste was much the same but it had a CO2 taste to it, probably from the bottle conditioning. It hampered the taste a little and I felt it more as I washed it around. Mouthfeel is still tart but also refreshing and an easy sipper. Not to shabby but much better on tap.

Draught at the brewery. Clear dark gold with a big white head. Tart aroma with lots of fresh citrus. The flavor is refreshing and tart with white wine-like character. A little spice and hop bitterness, but subtle. Not as much character as their other beers, but quite nice and refreshing for a wheat ale.

On-tap at the Beachwood BBQ,

A: Pours a golden, slightly cloudy yellow, light off-white head.

S: Very faint, light wheat malt, but struggling to find it.

T: Taste is quite good. Big taste of bready wheat malt, sourdough bread, light acidity. Hops are there in a light balance, but the beer is all about the great wheat malt taste.

M: Light and smooth, lightly acidic, very refreshing.

D: Another good beer from Telegraph, smell could use some work, but overall, enjoyable.

750 ML bottle, Bottled June 07, 2007 from the San Luis Obispo BevMo.

Per the name, in the glass this is a near clear golden colored ale with a tall off-white head.

The scent is sweet and spicy with some coriander and Belgian Witbier phenols in there. There is some clove and very faint banana scent in here but this is a wheat beer that gets more from the Belgian interpretation of the style than the American or German versions. By scent this is decidedly a Belgian Wit.

The flavor begins sweet and spicy with coriander being strong enough to numb my tongue a bit in the very first taste. Sweetness very quickly disappears and is obliterated by the spice. And that is about it, this is a hyper spicy witbier wit a spice level to obliterate any subtle flavors. This is notable for the extremeness of the witbier flavor, pretty much nuclear powered.

Mouthfeel is good.

Drinkability is subjective, you either like a really Ballsy Witbier or you don't. I DO like hyper spicy Belgian wheat beers so I DO like this. If you want a witbier with lots of mild subtle flavors this will blow your taste buds CLEAN OFF!

Sampled at biegaman's super extravaganza spring Saison tasting! Biegaman cracked this one open.

Pours a slightly hazy straw/amber colour, medium sized white head, white lace spots, decent retention, thin layer. Smell is neat, sweet, very yeasty, spices, banana, some strawberry, refreshing aroma. Taste is malty, caramelized at first, wheat, citrus, spices, yeasty bread, neat. Mouthfeel is light bodied with high carbonation, refreshing mouthfeel, goes down easy. A neat beer, thanks Jan!

Tasting at biegaman's place with grub, viggo, lexx, blankboy (RB), and tupalev (RB). I didn't write down who brought what, unfortunately, so thanks everyone!

Poured a semi-cloudy yellow-gold with a small, white head. Flavour and aroma are very similar -- wheat, mild pepper or other dried spices, with some coriander. Very mild ripe fruit notes. Smooth mouthfeel and solid body. Not bad!
