On tap for the 4th Annual LA Beer Week Beer Festival at Union Station in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a clear dark brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, cocoa, and bourbon aromas. Taste is much the same with a slightly woody flavor and an alcohol kick with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is fairly tasty but has a better smell in my opinion.
