The Bee Sting is quite nice trying it at Kings Head in Adelaide. It poured a hazy yellow with thin white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent and taste have hints of lemon. The taste is clean and slightly bitter. The Mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a good beer.

Appearance - Pale gold beer that pours a one finger head. Initial carbonation fades to lacing for an overall great looking beer.

Aroma - Honey aroma dominates but definite undertones of citrus fruits which add a subtle complexity to the brew.

Taste - In spite of the strong smell of honey this isn't an overly sweet tasting beer. Definite malt notes on the aftertaste. Very refreshing in spite of being quite a dry beer.

Mouthfeel - Moderate weight in the mouth. Just the right amount of carbonation for that "goes down easy" feel.

Drinkability - I would definitely purchase this beer again but I probably wouldn't drink it all night.

Overall - The best example of a honey wheat beer that I have had to date.

Pours gold with a very small head.
Nose shows honey, bready and grainy malt with some soft spicy hops behind.
Similar flavours, mostly focusing on the grainy malt and honey. Relatively dry.

A: Pours a cloudy pale straw color with a decent head that faded to bits of lacing.

S: Mild aroma of malt sweetness and a bit of honey in the background.

T: Taste of some malt sweetness and mild nip of honey with bit of spice. Mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish.

F: Light body, surprising crispness with just enought honey without making it too sweet.

O: Decent beer that goes down easy.

Bottle: Nice brown bottle, very stylish label. Nice indeed, a quality package.

Appearance: Light straw / pale gold with a thin but solid head.

Aroma: Very strong honey - too much in fact, a tiny bit of those wheat beer aromas such as cloves.

Taste: Noticeable sweetness of honey - it really does taste like a weak wheat beer with some honey poured in. No sophistication - a truly awful beer.

Mouthfeel: nicely done for the style, with just enough carbonation to help it slide down.

Overall: a pretty poor attempt at a honey wheat ale. Very little in the way of sophistication - tastes like an average wheat ale with some honey dumped into it. Poured most of this out.

Found a last of a sixer in the cellar - haven't seen in awhile.

Pours a slightly hazy light orange / straw colour, one finger head. Little lacing

Lovely aromas dominated by honey. Quite sweet, as you would imagine.

A very malty driven sweet flavour, and the honey comes thru, with also a little wax(!) giving a little bitterness.

I know I am against the majority here, and seemingly against public opinion as I haven't seen it in Dannos for a while, but all in all pleasant. Sessionable I doubt, one or two, quite likely.

Mrs heygeebee also quite liked this one - could appeal to a broad market.

Appearance
1 finger of white head fades quickly. Dark straw colour.

Smell
Not particularly strong aroma of anything. Slightly sweet honey/fruity smell but not much.

Taste
I was looking forward to tasting flowers, honey, wheat beer or fruits, but I was disappointed. Very disappointed. Not very honey or very wheat beer; actually, it was quite bland.

Mouthfeel
Moderate weight in the mouth, not too fizzy.

Drinkability
Despite an almost waxy taste, it was drinkable. But I wouldn't drink it again. Or maybe I should try another bottle (seeing the reviews below, maybe I got a dud bottle!)

This beer pours a see thru pale honey colour with nice carbonation that leaves a fast vanishing one finger that forms into a ring of lacing, the aromas are honey coated hops and some wheat,it has an above average mouthfeel with tastes of honeyish hops which i find dominate the wheat character of the beer as the wheat is not that noticeable only on the aftertaste,it says on the back of this label that "The result is a complex but refreshing beer." and i do agree on them with one thing it is a refreshing beer but its definately not complex by any means but in saying that prob a good one for people who are just getting into beer and dont want too complex a beer.

This pours cloudy with a light golden honey colour to it. A centimetre of head drops away to a bit of lacing.

I get a touch of honey on the nose but none of the hefe aromas I was expecting. There's a slight unpleasant odour in there as well. I can't pick it. A slight mildewiness perhaps. If it was a wine I'd say brett. It was there in another bottle I tried the other day and I thought it might be a bad bottle. This is from the same batch though.

This has no pleasant flavours at all. Definitely nothing that others have mentioned in their reviews. It seems dead. It may well be a batch problem.

I'm sorry to the brewers to give this such a bagging but there has definitely been a fault with the 2 bottles I've tried. If I see it at another bottle-o I'll grab it and give it another go.

Pours a pale straw colour with effervescent bubbling and an eerily translucent haze. Bubbling livens it up, head is thin but resilient. Thin wisps of lace dot the glass.

Nose is remarkably tangy and not very honey-esque. Fair hints of citrus, with a lemonade kind of character, floral aroma and maybe a touch of vanilla. Not particularly fragrant though, just subtly floral.

Taste is a lot more potent, but it remains to be seen if that's a good thing. Honey is more prominent, but it sort of hides behind other flavours rather than leaching out. Creates a rich, earthy base, while hints of grass, lemon zest and cooked greens provide a mildly bitter palate. Organic and mildly acerbic, but not overpowering. Mouthfeel is moderate, with a slight fuzzy foam texture, not a lot of sparkle but not thin.

Tastes a lot more lagery than I expected; with more hopping it would frankly taste like a pilsener. This is nothing like what I'd expect from a "honey wheat beer". It's not very wheaty or honey-y. Even though it's light years more palatable than its more commercially viable but utterly vile bastard cousin Beez Neez, this just isn't very impressive. Taste is confused and unbalanced, and the honey is more of a hindrance to flavour than a standout quality.

Poured a cloudy amber/honey colour with a very frothy bubbly head that disappeared almost instantaneously. No lacing.

Smelled sweet and fruity.

Tasted a bit waxy - kinda like when you're chewing on honeycomb before spitting out the wax. The honey flavour was not overpowering and there were some other fruity banana type flavours present.

Was rather easy to drink and not too heavy on the fizz.

Pretty drinkable beer though it would be nicer if it didn't have that waxy taste.

Poured a finger of bubbly white head that quickly reduced to almost nothing. Body is a cloudy honey colour.

Smell - 4.0
Straight away I can tell that this has far more personality than Beez Neez. Sweet honey, typical hefeweizen aromas of banana, light spice and citrus. Not particularly strong.

Taste - 4.0
Delicious! Very soft, treads the line but does not fall into over-sweetness. Some banana, plenty of spice, very bready and moderately hopped for the style. Only off taste is a mild soapiness when very cold.

Mouthfeel - 4.0
Fine, moderate carbonation, feels thick, almost creamy. Moderate weight in the mouth.

Drinkability - 3.5
I would definitely buy this again, but I would not call it sessionable, it's a bit too full-on for that.

OVERALL - 3.85
This is not an APA, someone really needs to update this! A really lovely honey wheat beer, this is how Beez Neez SHOULD taste. A true wheat beer worthy of its name, not as sessionable as a normal hefe but still a good value local beer to be proud of.

A - Light straw colour with very little head.
S - Flowery sweetness, undoubtedly from the honey.
T - Sweet honey flavour with some mild herb & malt notes.
M - A medium mouthfeel, crisp at the back.
D - Probably the best of a bad bunch if you really must drink honey wheat beers. Much better beers out there at equal or lesser prices.
I think that some of these wineries making "boutique beers" should maybe make some barrel aged beers with their wine barrels and then they will possibly win some respect from true craft beer lovers.

Oh yeah, the style for this is completely wrong!

An APA this aint!!

Cloudy pale straw on the pour, almost no head; not the greatest of lookers.

Aroma is very intersting, at first an almost cloying honey sweetness, like a beeswax candle. In the background is a light toastiness.

Unfortunately, the cloying sweetness flows straight through to the flavour...too much and not sufficiently balanced with the hops. Not sure I will be able to finish this one.
