My favorite Climax brew, although nearly impossible to find on the shelf. I trek to New Jersey occasionally to try and stock up on these champion growlers but this one is usually O.O.S. (that's out of stock to you and me). When, Dave, will your beers travel across the Hudson to those not fortunate enough to live in the garden state?

Half gallon brewery bottled growler.
A strong, bright gold body, topped by a fluffy white head, which rose above the glass, and rolled down the sides. Classic. Excellent lacing. Fresh hay dominates the nose, but other floral traces whisper support. A solid malt center, very firm, supported by an increasing hop presence, that finishes with a nice floral hop snap. Big bodied for a pils. Mouthfeel is full and creamy. Aftertaste is larger, firmer, maltier than most pils, this is no summer lawnmower beer. Perhaps it should be renamed the "un-pilsner." Savor it, but beware. This growler may empty quicker than you realize.
