330ml bottle from Liquors Hasegawa, Tokyo Station, Japan (¥518):
This one turned out to be quite an interesting offering with nice variety to the beer & a good balance too that helped make it realteively easy to drink. It seemed like it was a stronger offering than the 4.5% abv. on the bottle but this was mainly down to the complexity of the beer rather than any strong alcohol flavours but it was quite a dark & smoky beer too. Further on & some nice sweetness helped to balance things out with the beer, some chocolate flavours featuring to help out but it was the vanilla pods that contributed most in this respect & kept things interesting through.

Had this on tap at Roti's House in Maihama, Tokyo. Poured into a tulip glass. Beautiful opaque dark schwarz with a thin white head. Scented notes of roasted hops, caramel, and banana coming off this beer. Goes down great with a bit of the caramel in the aftertaste. Overall, this was a wonderful brew from a great company, and I recommend it if you can find it!
