This is sort of a new beer. Rocky Bay made their Viking Plunder available for the spring/summer months, just lightened the color oh so extremly little and called it originally Summer Plunder, until the state said no you can't. Sooo...they now sell it as Fog Horn Special Edition (or Foghorn SE) Pours a dark brown, not too hazy. Smells like sweet sweet malt. Taste? malt bomb!! A bit more sweet than I remember Viking Plunder being, but it's still tasty, a bit of grassy hops in the background. mouthfeel is a bit thick, but I like it compared to a lot of stuff I've had lately. Overall it's the one I've been buying over and over again when I visit the brewery. Might be too sweet for some people (especially hopheads) but go out and try it anyway!!
