This amber-red beer arrived with a yellow one-finger head that had zero retention and zero lacing. The smell was malty and medicinal. The main taste is malt with medicinal, fruity esters from the yeast. There is not much hop flavor to speak of. The mouthfeel is light. I really enjoy this brewerys ales, but this one misses the mark compared to their others. That said, Id rather drink Far Wests worst beers than some other brewerys best.
