Appearance This one is a solid, almost glowing dark orange in color with a modest head.
Smell Theres a Belgian dark yeast backbone to this one, but Im sure at some point it was much bigger. Now its mostly sugar water with a sharp alcohol sting. The sugars are fruity and dark with lots of raisins and tons of dates. I can pick up some prune, tobacco, and quite a bit of overripe banana. There are more fruits in there, too, like maybe light peaches and a few other things.
Taste This is almost like sugar-water with a bit of dark yeast. The taste is fruit juicy with a strong sense of alcohol. There is also some bitterness to this one, too.
Mouthfeel This one is medium-bodied and feels a bit past its prime but is good nevertheless.
Drinkability This is a good effort at a Quad from a brewery that usually stays away from Belgian Ales.
