Appearance – Dark ruby in color, almost black, with a decent head from the tap.

Smell – Primarily espresso with some chocolate and a hint of dark fruit.

Taste – This one was very creamy and dry with a slight tart twang. It tasted similar to a Guinness but a little sharper.

Mouthfeel – This stout was extraordinarily smooth and creamy. I feel this was the ale’s strongpoint.

Drinkability – I could have drunk this all day. It went down very well, although I thought it was a tad thin for a stout.

(on tap at brewpub) Nice black color with creamy head. Slight toasted flavor with chocolate undertones. Medium bodied. Nicely drinkable.
