Appearance This Pils poured a deep, thick yellow in color with a light orangish tint and a nice, white head.
Smell The light lagered grain is very pleasant at the nose. Its smooth and goes well with the fine European hopping.
Taste This grain is terrific! It is so smooth yet complex. Its very meaty without being overbearing; more like ripping grain off a husk than drinking it in a Pils glass. The hops are very light and just do offer a satisfactory compliment.
Mouthfeel This is almost medium-bodied in the mouth but not quite. The carbonation is solid and the beer itself is very refreshing.
Drinkability This has a good, bold flavor and is very complex. They have a lot of spicy foods here at the Celtic Bayou and this goes with just about everything on the menu.

Sampled in a 10oz Schooner at the Celtic Bayou Bar.
Beer pours medium gold with a medium haze and a light white head with crisp bubbles.
Aroma is of soft buttered sweet corn with a touch of field berries in the finishing notes.
The beer is big and hoppy with a honeyed malt and a slight sense of corn. Finish is both hoppy and acidly sour.

(at brewpub) Dark/rich gold in color with a lacy white head. One of those pilsners that restores your faith in the style. Light-moderate bitterness with a good malt sweetness. Like a lot of their beers, it is very well balanced.
